Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of marrying the man of my dreams and having the most beautiful wedding imaginable. In the upcoming months, weeks and days to my wedding the nerves set in. On my list of “must haves” having the most elegant florals were at the top. After all, they are in every picture of your special day. After many floral consultations with other businesses in Amarillo, I had become very discouraged that nobody understood the image I had in mind. Then by the grace of God, I stumbled into McKenzies shop. BY COMPLETE ACCIDENT. McKenzie was cleaning up her shop, after having an event I believe, and I had walked through the door with many questions. Instead of turning me away and setting up an appointment, she stopped what she was doing to sit down with me and talk. McKenzie made the entire thing about me and what I wanted. And as a worn out discouraged bride, that was exactly what I needed. She showed me all of her work and I was amazed. After spending about an hour with McKenzie I knew she was the one that I would entrust this task with.
She was very prompt to respond when I had any questions and she also checked in every so often to see how I was doing in general. She was by far the most pleasant vendor I had worked with for my wedding.
As the morning of my wedding arrived, I was a wreck. I was running around doing last minute things for the venue, when I looked up and saw McKenzie delicately working on my arch. I had shown her a photo of how I would have liked my arch decorated and she blew it out of the water. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! I couldn’t help but to feel overcome with love and appreciation. Shortly after I laid eyes on my bouquet and it stole my breath away. It was everything I had imagined and more.
McKenzie is the most passionate and caring woman! I can honestly say my wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her. She is very passionate about her talent and that is very hard to find. I would recommend her 1,000 times over again!
Thank you again, McKenzie! You were an absolute pleasure!
As I look back at our wedding photos, I can’t help but be in awe of McKenzie's talent and am very thankful that we selected the Daisy Chain Studio [now Meadow Floral Studio] as our wedding florist. I arrived at our first consultation with a vision of winter white and a single photo for inspiration. McKenzie is beautifully calm and warm; she asked all the right questions and genuinely wanted to know “our story”. She took my vision of a winter wonderland and made the reality so much better than the dream. McKenzie and her team infused the ballroom of the Amarillo Country Club with pure magic. The entire process from start to finish was thoughtful, professional, and personal. McKenzie made me feel like this wasn’t just another job for her - every question, concern, detail, and call mattered. The Daisy Chain Studio gave this bride the precious gift of peace of mind and a floral design straight out of a dream. - Logan Dryden Garner
I started following The Daisy Chain Studio [now Meadow Floral Studio] because we hired the owner, McKenzie O'Grady, to do the flowers for my daughter's wedding last summer. She far exceeded our expectations, with the beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and floral installments she created. But I have continued to follow her because of the incredibly articulate and introspective writings she posts alongside the photos of her breathtaking work. Follow her and be blessed!" -Molly Ritchie
“McKenzie gave me my perfect wedding flowers. From the first meeting to the actual wedding day, she handled our wedding flowers and plans with the utmost care and diligence. She took the time to uncover my exact expectations and vision for the flowers on the day, and was able to completely transform my ideas into tangible plans. The flowers on the wedding day were incredible, and the entire experience with McKenzie was lovely. I recommend McKenzie for any occasion, whether that be weddings or just floral arrangements. Her work truly shows her deep care for her customers and her love for flowers." -Deidre Schlabs
